We are currently seeking an Oil Product Processing Specialist who will be responsible for the extraction, blending, diluting and packaging of medical cannabis oil, as well as completing all required documentation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Preparing and operating extraction machinery;
  • Blending bulk cannabis oils to produce a finished oil dilution;
  • Working with the Quality Assurance team to submit samples for analysis;
  • Entering production and analysis data into an oil production database, and ensuring said database is accurate and updated at all times;
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils and facilities used in the process;
  • Adhering to safe and sanitary working procedures and practices at all times;
  • Assisting the Dry Product processing team as required.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in science and experience working in a laboratory environment since this position requires strong attention to detail and strict adherence to written Standards Operating Procedure. Dried Product Processing Specialist

We are currently seeking an Dried Product Processing Specialist who will be responsible for manicuring, milling, decarboxylation and packaging of dried medical marijuana, as well as completing all required documentation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Monitor, participate in and maintain work flow for each step of the post-harvest production: final manicure, milling, decarboxylation and packaging;

Market Analyst

We are currently seeking a Market Analyst to join our Product Innovation and Management Team. The position is based at our facility located in Gatineau, Quebec. This is a permanent, full-time position which offers excellent benefits.

Reporting to the Product Manager (who will oversee the Product Innovation and Management Team), the Market Analyst gathers data through primary and secondary research and turns it into meaningful insights for the company to make data driven decisions on product planning and corporate initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Research, collect, and analyze data on consumers, products, competitors, trends, and the industry; consolidate analyzed data into reports and proposals;
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing, sales and communication programs and strategies;
  • Understand business objectives, design surveys and focus groups to identify opportunities of new products and market segments;
  • Keep abreast of economic, market, and industry news;
  • Assist with special projects and other initiatives, as required;

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate holds a degree in statistics, marketing or related field, combined with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a market analyst role. Experience within the pharmaceutical sector or another FMCG setting is an important asset. French/English bilingualism is an asset.

Candidates should also have advanced knowledge of G-Suite, MS Office Suite and other statistical analysis packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS or similar). The ability to work in a fast-paced environment undergoing rapid growth is also essential.

Event Coordinator

The Hydropothecary Corporation is seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team in the role of Event Coordinator. This full-time position is located at our Gatineau, Quebec facility.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the suitable candidate will collaborate with sales and marketing to coordinate events, conferences and exhibitions. The incumbent will define and work pre-event logistics and on-site operations for each of the events, as well as managing communications, execution, and post-event follow-up and reporting.

The ideal candidate has excellent event management skills and expertise and has experience evaluating event feasibility and return-on-investment. Furthermore, as main point of contact, the Event Coordinator must ensure that all stakeholders contribute and work together in creating and delivering world-class experiences.

Responsibilities will include:

Graphic Designer

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will develop print and digital marketing material, play an active role in ensuring Hydropothecary’s presence on multiple social media platforms, and participate in the execution of various campaigns. Although reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will be expected to work closely and liaise with our Business Development team and Communications experts.

Among other things, the Graphic Designer will be expected to:

  • Assist in the development, review and update of all marketing materials (print and digital), ensuring branding guidelines are respected at every level;
  • Participate in the development and execution of a Social Media Strategy and generate required imagery for social media,
  • Liaise with service providers, including agencies, art services, printers, etc. to ensure completion of mandates and projects within established timelines;
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in the development and execution of various other marketing campaigns and activities.

Requirements:

  • A diploma in graphic design or other related field (as well as a portfolio) is required;

Cleaning Specialist

The Cleaning Specialist will work closely with other Facilities staff to ensure that office spaces, shared spaces and production areas are cleaned in accordance with Standards Operating Procedures and Health Canada requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Clean various workspaces in accordance with the pre-established schedule.
  • Ensure cleaning of offices spaces: sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting and upholstered furniture.
  • Clean and disinfect public areas such as lunchrooms and washrooms.
  • Empty Trash containers and recycling bins.
  • Periodically wash windows and walls.
  • Clean walkways, hallways, walls and/or counters in the Production area in accordance with SOP and ACMPR requirements. This includes greenhouses, laboratories and other secured areas.

Requirements:

  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial cleaning is an asset.

    Building Operator

    We are currently seeking a Facilities Specialist who will report to the Facilities Manager and Supervisor. The Facilities Specialist will work closely with other Facilities staff to ensure the overall upkeep of our greenhouses, maintain production equipment and ensure a safe work environment. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspect as required mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems and related equipment including but not limited to carbon dioxide supplementation systems, water treatment, boilers, air handling units, irrigation system, computerized environmental control systems, greenhouse and building envelope, etc, on daily/weekly basis and complete appropriate record logs in order to ensure equipment is maintained in good working order;
    • Participate in the development of a maintenance schedule and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment such as HVAC systems, production machinery and building components.
    • Liaise with licensed service providers as required for specific maintenance or installation projects.
    • Conduct workplace inspections to ensure all equipment and workspaces are safe and up to Code, identify and eliminate (whenever possible) Occupational Health and Safety risks.

    The ideal candidate is a good communication and as excellent customer service skills, able to work independently with minimal direction and able to respond quickly to emergency situations, great time management skills and ability to prioritize work in order to deliver successful results within agreed upon time frames.     Senior Accountant

Among other things, he/she will:

    • Maintain general ledger balance sheet accounts by reconciling accounts details and control accounts.
    • Identify, investigate, analyze and report on account variances.
    • Adjust general ledger balances by posting and/or adjusting journal entries, and prepare monthly working papers.
    • Monitor the general ledger for accuracy and effectiveness.
    • Adhere to and promote accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, provincial, and local financial legal requirements.
    • Participate in the preparation of quarter end/ year end working papers and close routines.

    Manager, Media Relations and Corporate Communications

    Reporting to the Vice-President of Corporate Communications and Government Relations, the Manager supports the development of Hydropothecary’s communications strategies and is responsible for the execution of internal and external communications tactics. This includes, but may not be limited to, media relations, corporate messaging, internal communications and investor communications.

    Media Relations:

    • Support the development of Hydropothecary’s media relations strategy for Quebec and the RoC, ensuring alignment with the overall communications strategy;
    • Lead the execution of the media relations strategy:
      • Ensure Hydropothecary is included in media stories about cannabis in Quebec;
      • Leverage, build and/or maintain trusted relationships with mainstream media journalists in Quebec and the RoC;
      • Build and maintain relationships with cannabis media;
    • Ensure media monitoring and report to senior management and internal teams as appropriate;
    • Manage media requests;
    • Act as a company spokesperson as required;
    • Provide media training to internal teams.

    Crisis Communications:

    • Develop a crisis communications protocol and ensure implementation;

    Strategic Counsel / Corporate Communications:

The Quality Assurance Assistant is responsible for supporting the company’s Quality Assurance, production, maintenance and facilities departments. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Prioritize, dispatch and ensure completion of requests to repair or replace fixtures and/or equipment. The incumbent will be expected to take part in projects such as installing or moving furniture and equipment, drywall repair and painting, minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
    • Participate in the development of a maintenance schedule and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment such as HVAC systems, production machinery and building components.

    We are currently seeking a Warehouse Clerk. The warehouse clerk is responsible for stocking material, tracking inventory turnover, handling products upon their arrival in the warehouse, and for managing day-to-day activities related to receiving and shipping merchandise.     • Loading/unloading merchandise
    • Performing quality control of merchandise
    • In some cases, following up with the supplier concerning non-compliant merchandise and ensuring the satisfactory resolution of quality issues

    • Working with the procurement team to complete and maintain all necessary documentation, on paper and electronically
    • Monitoring current inventory levels and informing the affected teams when inventory is low

    Guide and coach teams in adopting Agile principles and methodologies

    • Coach HEXO IT teams in Scrum best practices, including self-organization and cross-functionality, and guide teams as they embrace Agile principles and methodologies.

    Change Management/IT Compliance Analyst

    The Change Management/IT Compliance Analyst directly supports ITGC compliance and change management processes at HEXO and is responsible for all the administrative functions associated with the Change Management program.

    Responsibilities

    Change Management

    • Receive RFCs and ensuring that they are properly recorded in the change management system technology platform.
    • Maintain the CAB meeting schedule, preparing the agenda, and providing all necessary review information to the CAB members prior to meetings.
    • Facilitate CAB meetings jointly with the CAB Chairperson.
    • Publish CAB meeting minutes and any reports required for the meeting.
    • Update the Change Management policies and procedures guide as required by change leadership.
    • Work with the Business Architect and Director IS, analyzing and prioritizing RFCs, categorizing, assigning Change Coordinators, and scheduling RFCs, subject to approval by the CAB.
    • Provide change notification to the Change Initiator and other affected parties.
    • Monitor the successful completion of all RFCs, including the change development project phases and ensuring that these processes follow the change schedule.

    Compliance

    • Work with IT control owners in creating, document, interpretation, and monitoring of IT general controls (ITGC).
    • Assist with ITGC testing, assessments, and tech audit recommendations. Activities may include reviewing activities with multiple stakeholders, reviewing service/incident tickets, collecting data, generating detail, and preparing documentation which demonstrates compliance with IT controls.
    • Support development and/or document other deliverables such as meeting notes, presentation, study/assessment summaries and status report.

    All Dried Product Personnel must understand and follow all regulations, guidelines, and company policies pertaining to safety, security, and handling of product. They must read, understand, and adhere to all standard operating procedures pertaining to the work they have been assigned.

    Dried Product Personnel must be able to work effectively with others and understand their role within a team setting. They are expected to communicate with other members of staff in a respectful and civil way.

    Dried Product Personnel are responsible for keeping clean records of day to day activities. They are to report any problems to the Dried Product Processing Team Lead or his/her assigned alternate as soon as possible; including errors, deviations from SOP, inaccuracies in record keeping, injury, and equipment failures.

    The ideal candidate has a High school diploma required, post secondary is an asset. An understanding of Health Canada’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is an asset.     Logistics Coordinator

    We are currently seeking an Logistics Coordinator who will manage and coordinate all shipping of outbound finished products. The ideal candidate will be able to calculate and establish load fills, shipping routes and be able to efficiently process all necessary paperwork in advance of allocated dispatch times.     • Prepare and manage export documents and bill of landing (BOL);

    Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator

    The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the implementation of environment, health and safety programs designed to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements specific to each of Hexo’s locations.
